We have opportunities for you to supplement your teaching work with administration, production and/or performance.

We are seeking teachers who have a passion for teaching recreational and pre-professional students.  

We are concert style of dance and circus studio vs. a competition style.

Dance school

Aerial Silks Faculty Position

Start Date: August 15

First Day of Classes: August 26

Location:  9315-E Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC, but we also have opportunities throughout the year to teach in the community offsite.  

Schedule

Monday, 5pm - 6pm and 7:20pm - 8:20pm

Tuesdays, 5pm - 6pm and possible will assist in Silks or other disciplines

Thursdays, 5pm - 6pm and possible will assist in Silks or other disciplines

Saturdays, 9am - 11:10am (2 classes)

Pay: $15 - $30 (based on teaching experience)

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with peers and students.

  • Desire to improve and/or maintain a harmonious and inspirational teaching environment at CC&DC.

  • Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology, and training principles

  • Ability to be professional and motivate class participants

  • Ability to cooperate and work well with other staff members

  • Knowledge of and ability to communicate exercise physiology principles as related to a well-rounded fitness program with a diverse group of individuals

  • Possess a high degree of energy and have the endurance to complete the demonstrations

  • Can teach ages 6 - adult (classes are divided by age groups)

  • Comfortable teaching 8 students on 4 Aerial Silks without an assistant.

  • Able to choreograph for an ensemble to create a dance/act for the Spring Student Showcase.  

  • Skills in other dance and circus arts disciplines are a plus

  • CPR / First Aid certified

Dance Faculty Positions

Start Date: August 15

First Day of Classes: August 26

9:00am - 10:00am: Acrobatics Level 1 for Ages 6 - 11

10:10am - 11:10am: Musical Theater Jazz or Jazz for Ages 10+

Pay: $15 - $30 (based on teaching experience)
